No Condemnation
The angry crowds drew down fast
Reminding me of my past
Pushing my emotions to the brink
In a downward spiral I began to sink
They stood with readied stones to throw
Shouting out a boastful show
Of self righteous condemnation and pride
I covered my head but could not hide.
Then like a fresh breeze of air
A man appeared from no where
He began drawing stories in the sand
One by one the accusers began to disband
I looked up at him in with awestruck wonder
His command of life struck me like thunder
The question he asked was pointed yet kind
His very presence brought peace of mind
Where are your accusers ? He asked with a smile
They walked away, left the stones in a pile
You are not condemned said the strong gentle voice
You don't have to live in sin. You have a choice
As he parted ways I was overcome with relief
His forgiveness and grace washed away my grief
He filled me with hope that my simple life mattered
No longer by sin did I have to be battered
So I stepped up in hope and wanted all to know
He gave me new life and my spirit did flow
I live my life now treasured by the King of Kings
I've set aside all the earthly things
I now live every day in God's deep grace
Awaiting the day I see him face to face
Knowing full well he had a plan for me
To prosper and provide a glimpse of His glory to see
If you are struggling with the condemnation of sin
And it seems those around you join in
Look to The Lord and his outstretched arm
For forgiveness and grace and freedom from harm
