That Day

There is a time coming to this place
Where all people will seek God's face
And on their knees humbly bend
Worshipping the Son that God did send

There will come a chorus of joyful sound
When we put our feet on the solid ground
Built upon God's forgiveness and grace
When we see Jesus face to face

We will serve The Lord with gladness
As we recognize His goodness
Created to be his treasured children
Made to embrace Heaven's Kingdom

As one we will enter the gates of The Lord
Singing God's praises in one accord
Expressing everlasting thanksgiving
For the gift of forever living.

You O Lord are completely good
You've made your presence understood
Your truth you've given to all generations
Your stretched out your arms to touch the nations.

Eternally God, Forever Good !

Psalm 100:1-5 (KJV)
Make a joyful noise unto the Lord , all ye lands.

[2] Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

[3] Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

[4] Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

[5] For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

Trials and Triumph

Trials and Triumph

Your greatest struggles
Become the core of your character.

Your character becomes the foundation of your triumphs.

Your humility before God and man gives you dignity to handle both struggle and triumph.

The Race

I am called to run my race
With the power of God's grace
While the finish line is in sight
Each stride adds to my plight

A stride, though difficult may be
Is but a piece of my history
Only one at a time can be taken
The sum of them is my direction

In your directions O Lord will I stride
Emptying myself of my sinfulness and pride
Closer to your likeness will I become
Breathing with your Spirit, Embracing your Son.

Live Forgiven ! Press On !

Philippians 3:13-14 (KJV)
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do , forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

[14] I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Mirror

God's Word, the mirror for my soul
Has shaped my life and made me whole
Rendering the courage to look within
Providing complete forgiveness for my sin

Restoring my heart to know God's care
Renewing my mind to what is right and fair
Reflecting His glory to light my way
Assuring his presence will always stay

When I take the time each day
To understand God's way
He lights my path with joy and peace
And the knowledge his love will never cease

So I take to Him all worries and fear
And the needs of all I hold dear
Trusting his outstretched arm
Will guard our lives from all harm

His provision will come in His hour
And meet our needs and give us power
To extend his grace to those in need
To lend a hand in both word and deed

Looking upward to see inward to live outward

Psalm 19:7-11,14 (KJV)
The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.

[8] The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.

[9] The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.

[10] More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

[11] Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

[14] Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord , my strength, and my redeemer.

Biblical Love

A heart standing ready with kindness
And the patience to care
Content with God's provision
And the humility to share

The willingness to lift up others
And treat neighbors as brothers
The laying aside of personal space
To render the broken hope and grace

Seeing past others failures and sin
Raising them up to see their beauty within
Lifting up prayers to God up above
To be a beacon of His everlasting love

The fruit of this type of living
Will never pass away
And will bring the one giving
Heaven's peace that will stay

1 Corinthians 13:4-8,13 (KJV).
[4] Love suffereth long, and is kind; love envieth not; love vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

[5] Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; [6] Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

[7] Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

[8] Love never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

[13] And now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Armor of God

We all face our battles
And I know this to be true
God's armor equips us
To fight our way through

Our command is to be strong
In the power of his might
To be fully prepared
Against darkness to fight

God gives us spiritual armor
To enable us to stand
It guards our well being
Like God's outstretched hand.

So start with God's belt of truth
Wrapped firmly around your waist
It holds everything together
So that your trust is well placed

And put on the breastplate of righteousness
That protects your heart
Made by Christ's sacrifice
So we won't get torn apart

Then put the message of Christ's love
Upon the shoes for your feet
So wherever you travel
With God's gospel you greet

The shield built on faith
In God's everlasting love
Will fend off doubts and fears
And render peace like a dove

The place on the helmet
To guard your mind
With the assurance of Salvation
In Christ you did find

The sword of the spirit
Which is God's Word
Will help fight your battles
Because His promise is sure

Then Through prayer and thanksgiving
Lift up all that you see
To God up in heaven
Who provides faithfully.

Ephesians 6:10-18 (KJV)
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

[11] Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

[12] For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places .

[13] Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

[14] Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

[15] And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

[16] Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

[17] And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

[18] Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Fruit of the Spirit

There flows forth great qualities
From the life giving King
Called the fruits of the spirit
That make Heaven sing

The first fruit is love
That can only be known
Through the forgiveness of God
Of the sins we each own

The second fruit is joy
That grows from that love
And the heart's knowing
That it is received from above

The third fruit is peace
The assurance from God
That his love never leaves us
Wherever we trod

The fourth fruit is long suffering
The strength to endure
Knowing God will sustain us
And our footing will be sure

The fifth fruit is gentleness
The willingness to see
The struggles of others
Yet reach out tenderly

The sixth fruit is goodness
The ability to respond
Giving of one's resource
To lift someone who is bound

The seventh fruit is faith
Placing my trust up above
Knowing God's purpose for me
Will be done through His love

The eighth fruit is meekness
Combining strength mixed with grace
Applying God's wisdom
To every challenge we face

The ninth fruit is temperance
Knowing what to do and when
In all situations of life
To bring healing and hope wherever we've been

There cannot be laws made
In the courts of mankind
That outlaw these fruits
Because they are divine

As we spend time with Christ
In His Holy Word
These fruits will flow through us
In one accord.

Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV)
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

[23] Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Peace of mind

When your mind is dwelling
On the challenges you face
And it all seems overwhelming
To simply reach that which you chase

Place your faith in God's promise
Written in the Bible is a must
To lay your needs before his throne
As a reflection of your trust

He said he would never leave you
And would meet your every need
According to his riches in glory
Not on what we feel and see

When you truly let your worries go
And lay them at His feet
His peace that is beyond compare
Is sent from Heaven's seat.

Philippians 4:6-7 (KJV)

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

[7] And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Amazing Grace!

Because of the mark of my own sin
The way of death had reeled me in
But the King of Glory, The God of Grace
Left heaven above to die in my place

Leaving behind the wealth of his throne
He descended to earth to die all alone
Suffering the gruesome death on a cross
Christ opened heavens gate to all who were lost

But death could not keep him
For after three days
The stone rolled away
And from death he did raise

My Jesus, My Savior, My God and My King
Your victory over death has left death with no sting
Your ascension to heaven to prepare us a place
Has revealed to us your glory and grace

So I will live here forgiven
Moved by your love
With strength by your grace
That comes from above

I'll tell of your greatness
How you were humble of heart
And became a great servant
Your love to  impart

Til one day in heaven
I will see your face
And I will fall on my knees
In awe of your grace

I'll fall on my knees
In awe of your grace.

Titus 3:4-7 (KJV)
But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,

[5] Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

[6] Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

[7] That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

The Path of the Cross

It began in the garden, with followers gathered round
The sound Roman soldiers feet pounding the ground
Betrayal poured out with the kiss of Judas
This was the path of the cross

His captors led him to the courts of Pilate
The crowds of people shouted with hate
Silently he stood before the accusers
Submitting Majesty to his abusers

This was the path of the Cross

He was beaten , bruised, and crowned with thorns
Mocked and spit upon, his robe ripped and torn
With a cross on his back, forced to walk up the hill
The crowd jeered on as he swallowed Sin’s bitter pill
Christ took on Sin’s bitter pill

The sound of hammers ripped through the crowd
The view of Mary weeping out loud
They hoisted him up for all to see
Not knowing his death would set them free
Not knowing his death would set them free

He did this for me

As the creator grasped to take each breath
Reaching up to God before his death
He pleaded “Father forgive them” “They know not what they do”
It was for us he was dying, For me and for you….

So they carried him off to a special tomb
The Son of God, born of Mary’s womb
Wrapped up in linen clothes made for death
His followers believing He had breathed his last breath

The stone rolled in place, where it sat for three days
While the light from the sun was hidden they say
The vale on the temple had been torn apart
Giving man access to God’s holy court

Then in a moment, the blink of an eye
The stone rolled away, and light split the sky
The guards fell back, as if they were dead
As Christ conquered death, and rose living instead

Much more could be said about this amazing event
How Christ was seen by the disciples he had sent
Thomas had felt the nail holes in his hand
As Christ brought salvation to our land

So the path of the cross, though filled with grief
Led to mankind’s hope and relief
From the penalty of sin we all had in our soul
Christ’s death on the cross has made us whole.

He went back to heaven to prepare us a place
To bring us to heaven and experience God’s grace
So that we could live in his kingdom there
And be fully surrounded by His hand of care.

John 14:1-6
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
