Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving

Looking upon the years gone by
God's hand has always been nearby
Woven in the tapestry of our lives
Are countless blessings that he gives

If but for a moment we stop to gaze
Upon God's glory in all His ways
We'll see that His eternal hand
Still touches our lives throughout this land

That He sent His Son to die for me
To restore my hope and set me free
Such a gift from the wealth of heaven
To all mankind was freely given

Take Time this week to reflect and give thanks.

Traveling On!

I am tired and so weary
But I must travel on
Til I reach the gates of heaven
And kneel humbly before the Son

There will be peace in that valley
No shadows to render doubt
There will be no sadness, nor sorrow
Forever we'll sing and shout

That day is quickly coming
When we will see Christ the king
Return from his glory in heaven
To let salvation ring.

We will lay down our plows and swords
In worshipping our Lord
Together we'll sing hallelujah
All in one accord

So while I may feel weary
I will keep my hope in God above
And will fully trust his promises
Of his eternal love

Peace to all

Words

The words we speak in everyday life
Have the power to bring peace or to stir up strife
The words that daily come from our speech
Can often bring comfort that seems out of reach

Begin each day hearing the Words from Above
Will inspire your lives to reach out in love
And  to speak out those words that really heal
Connecting your world with that which is real.

Christ came from heaven as God’s Word made flesh
And taught us heaven’s way to be our best
To reach out to others with neighborly love
And to spread that peace that comes from above.

So use your words with wisdom in all that you say
Always within take time to kneel down and pray
Seeking to speak with words full of grace
Building up others you meet face to face

Psalm 19:14 – Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight O Lord, my God and My Redeemer

My Fortress (Psalm 18, 23)

Where can I go
For Shelter to stay ?
When storm clouds roll in
To dampen my way

Where do I run ?
How can I hide ?
From enemies that surround me
To conquer my pride

I go to the Rock
My Fortress and King
Who forever stays with me
Through winter and spring

He brings down mine enemies
And shelters me with care
He raises my spirit
My burden He shares

So even though I walk
Through the valley of death
Fear will not trip me
Til I breath my last breath

He leads me to still waters
To quench the thirst of my soul
He washes and renews me
And now I am whole

Every Breath I breathe

You raised me up
And helped me see
Every Breath I breathe
God gave to me

You stayed with me
When I was down
You always cared
And let love abound

You cheered me on
At every turn of my race
You filled my life
With hope and grace

God's Amazing Love

Wiping every tear from our eyes
Revealing wide open skies
Is the everlasting word spoken
Healing every heart that’s broken

Coming in the dark of the night
Opening up our blinded sight
The King of Glory descended to earth
Displaying to man his God given worth

Live Treasured.

John 3:16-18

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Dreams

You have a dream
Of how it should be
Just apply your hard work
Then be patient and see

That hard work still pays
So take the next stride
And don't give up on your dream
But finish with pride

Never Give Up !

Creation Declaration

The crystal skies of night
Declare through the miracle of sight
The majesty of God's creation
To draw the attention of the nations

One only has to look upon the sea
To fall and worship on their knee
The One who put these wonders in place
To give us a glimpse of His face.

And when we gaze upon the mountains tall
Or the simple bubbling waterfall
We cast our praise toward heavens gate
And sing with cause to celebrate.

Everywhere and everyday , we only have to look
To see the care that God took
Making creation to exclaim his glory
And wrap us up in the middle of his love story.

Psalm 19:1-3 (KJV)

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handiwork.

[2] Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.

[3] There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard

Before Your Presence

Comes to us our battles long
We give our lives to you in song
The path ahead may seem unclear
But by your Hand, you calm our fear

We strive to make the best come true
With all the things we work to do
Yet the clouds grow dark to rain
We bend our knees and spill our pain

Lord we pray our sickness heal
To Your mighty power appeal
That by your hand, you may restore
Our health, and hope, and more

When our upward cries by You’ve been heard
Your Promise kept springs from the Word
Your Spirit in our hearts does flow
Your Peace comes in and lets us know

Your Hand is on us all through the night
The Eye of God sees our plight
Your plans for us they never fail
And through the dark, we shall prevail

So give us now, since our prayers are heard
The very courage from your Word
To stay the course through our night
And to daily fight the fight

For when all times have come and gone
And you have brought us to your throne
We will see with clearer eye
The When, the How, the Why

Of the battles we did face
Ever needing your deep Grace
And the treasures that shall last
Before your majesty be cast

So thank you Lord for the battle here
One day you shall make clear
The Things you built inside our heart
Are of a value that shall never part

His Servant,

Jeff

Raise Me Up

You raised me up
And helped me see

My River of Life

My soul has been washed clean
By God's life giving river
Flowing down from above
From the eternal life giver

My life had been filled with envy and strife
The pain of my sin cut like a knife
Then I was presented God's cure for my sin
And I invited Christ to look within

He searched me and tried me
To show me my ways
He offered to cleanse me
And fill me with praise

So I bowed on my knees
To lift upward my cry
And looked to the cross
Where my Savior did die

From that death on the hill
To the grave for three days
Christ paid for my sins
Then from death he did raise

He then ascended to heaven
To prepare me a place
And forever live with him
To bask in His Grace

So now I start out each day with my thanks
At the River of life's thirst quenching banks
Refreshing my soul in the light of his word
The best message ever by man to be heard.

Waiting

There was a day when I stood strong
My health was good, my outlook long
But diabetes came and took its toll
My kidneys failed , but not my soul.

Thrice weekly I now do dialysis
And see doctors for analysis
While hoping for a transplant gift
My mind has made a major shift

To strive to do the best I can
Face this setback like a man
Place my faith in my God above
And trust in his unfailing love

Trust that there will come a day
When I will receive that for which I pray
A new chance to live life whole
And overcome this trying role.

While my hope is deep, my faith is strong
And God has filled my life with song
I'm grateful for the trial I face
Because I've learned to lean on grace

A grace that has taught me to wait
And see God's plan woven in my fate
It has set my vision to things above
To spread God's message of forever love

Isaiah 40:29-31 (KJV)
He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

[30] Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

[31] But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Waiting on The Lord. His Time. His Will.

If My People Pray

If My People Pray

Somewhere in our country
The great old USA
There lies a heart of courage
To restore our freedoms for which we pray

We came from lands far away
Seeking God's inalienable rights
Written down in faith by brave men
Their protection worth the fight

Adversity and evil tried to beat us down
And rip our dreams apart
But the nation who put their trust in God
Still stands, but with tattered heart.

Tattered by the drugs and violence
Among young children in our land
Searching deeply for answers
Found only in God's plan.

Further worn by the loss of lives
In the battles we have fought
Because freedom isn't free
With a price it has been bought

Running tired from divisions
That rip throughout the land
Wondering what it was
That made this country grand

There is a promise from our maker
That if we will humble be
And spill our troubles before our God
By praying together on our knees

God would send his Spirit down
To move among his creation
And through his mighty outstretched hand
Would bring healing upon our nation

The healing that comes with kindness
Blessing neighbors with our speech
Giving to the poor our resources
And with compassion teach

Teaching of the way God values
All the world that is in his hand
And learning well to listen
To his eternal plan.

Jeremiah 29:11-12 (KJV)

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord , thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

[12] Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.

That Day

There is a time coming to this place
Where all people will seek God's face
And on their knees humbly bend
Worshipping the Son that God did send

There will come a chorus of joyful sound
When we put our feet on the solid ground
Built upon God's forgiveness and grace
When we see Jesus face to face

We will serve The Lord with gladness
As we recognize His goodness
Created to be his treasured children
Made to embrace Heaven's Kingdom

As one we will enter the gates of The Lord
Singing God's praises in one accord
Expressing everlasting thanksgiving
For the gift of forever living.

You O Lord are completely good
You've made your presence understood
Your truth you've given to all generations
Your stretched out your arms to touch the nations.

Eternally God, Forever Good !

Psalm 100:1-5 (KJV)
Make a joyful noise unto the Lord , all ye lands.

[2] Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

[3] Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

[4] Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

[5] For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

Trials and Triumph

Trials and Triumph

Your greatest struggles
Become the core of your character.

Your character becomes the foundation of your triumphs.

Your humility before God and man gives you dignity to handle both struggle and triumph.

The Race

I am called to run my race
With the power of God's grace
While the finish line is in sight
Each stride adds to my plight

A stride, though difficult may be
Is but a piece of my history
Only one at a time can be taken
The sum of them is my direction

In your directions O Lord will I stride
Emptying myself of my sinfulness and pride
Closer to your likeness will I become
Breathing with your Spirit, Embracing your Son.

Live Forgiven ! Press On !

Philippians 3:13-14 (KJV)
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do , forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

[14] I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Mirror

God's Word, the mirror for my soul
Has shaped my life and made me whole
Rendering the courage to look within
Providing complete forgiveness for my sin

Restoring my heart to know God's care
Renewing my mind to what is right and fair
Reflecting His glory to light my way
Assuring his presence will always stay

When I take the time each day
To understand God's way
He lights my path with joy and peace
And the knowledge his love will never cease

So I take to Him all worries and fear
And the needs of all I hold dear
Trusting his outstretched arm
Will guard our lives from all harm

His provision will come in His hour
And meet our needs and give us power
To extend his grace to those in need
To lend a hand in both word and deed

Looking upward to see inward to live outward

Psalm 19:7-11,14 (KJV)
The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.

[8] The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.

[9] The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.

[10] More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

[11] Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

[14] Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord , my strength, and my redeemer.

Biblical Love

A heart standing ready with kindness
And the patience to care
Content with God's provision
And the humility to share

The willingness to lift up others
And treat neighbors as brothers
The laying aside of personal space
To render the broken hope and grace

Seeing past others failures and sin
Raising them up to see their beauty within
Lifting up prayers to God up above
To be a beacon of His everlasting love

The fruit of this type of living
Will never pass away
And will bring the one giving
Heaven's peace that will stay

1 Corinthians 13:4-8,13 (KJV).
[4] Love suffereth long, and is kind; love envieth not; love vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

[5] Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; [6] Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

[7] Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

[8] Love never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

[13] And now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
