The Name Above All Names

Though seated at the Throne of God
From the beginning of eternity
Christ left the realms of heaven
His love for all to see

The Servant King, Creator, God
In humility he came
To connect the Creator to mankind
Not  seeking  fortune and fame.

He was moved by obedience
To the King of Kings
Even to the point of death
To let true freedom ring.

His life was full of teaching
In all walks of life’s way
How to love your neighbor
And that God Listen’s when we pray

He performed many miracles
With power from above
Revealing his care for us
God’s Everlasting Love

Now hear the name of Jesus
Name above all Names
Who came to abide with us
God’s salvation to proclaim

So someday this will be true
At Christ’s feet we’ll bend our knee
In worship of his love toward man
And His Majesty, we’ll worship His Majesty

Philippians 2:6 - 11

6   Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7  But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8  And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9  Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10  That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

11  And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Montana Memories (Part 1)

Montana Memories

Let me take you on a journey
To the state where I was raised
With mountains tall and snow capped
And meadows where elk graze

The skyline goes forever
Stretching from east to west
Painted by cotton clouds
Gracing sunsets that are the best

The rivers flow from the snow caps
Rippling with water crystal clear
They light the dreams of fishermen
And render big fishing tales to hear.

The wonder of the national parks
That are on the borders of the state
Display a daily concert of beauty
For rich memories to be made.

Geysers steaming born of heat
From deep in earth's crust
Pour out majestic fountains
To see them is a must

To see the powerful Yellowstone
Drop in a raging waterfall
Reminisces of galant pageantry
On display for to see for all.

Then there is the Madison
Winding effortlessly as if in place
Painting each mountain valley
With elegance and grace

I could talk for endless days
Of my memories created there
But you should take the time to visit
Building your recollections to share

The Well

I came to the well for renewal
To find water to quench my thirst
There I met the King of Kings
He explained to me my worth

He said if I drank of living water
My thirst would be no more
As I continued on the path of life
My footing would be sure.

The well represents God's word to us
To sustain us in our plight
A dose of living water
And our outlook becomes bright

So I come daily to the well
To quench the thirst of soul
I have never seen the well run dry
It's living water makes me whole

You know that God Almighty
Has made this well for you
To set the compass of your life
On all that is good and true.

So join me in a meeting
At the well that springs with life
And drink to your soul's content
And leave behind the strife.

Revelation 7:17 (KJV)
For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

Freedom

Freedom

The soul of man shouts out for freedom
Not sure of where its found
They spend treasures in pursuit of it
But their spirit still feels bound.

Some seek it in the power they gain
While putting others down
While others look to money
Thinking that's where it is found

Others think they will find freedom
By pursuing their career
To only come up empty
Filled with doubts and fear.

God came to earth in the form of man
To teach where freedom's found
Not in the things that bind us here
But through his love we can abound

His teaching began when as a baby
To his created earth he came
The Humility of Almighty God
Displayed in a lowly manger frame

He grew up before us
Touching all the challenges we face
He did it from his passion
To give mankind God's Grace

He walked the place called Galilee
To teach man not to flounder
Not only by the words he spoke
But his actions spoke even louder

He turned the water into wine
To serve the wedding clan
He healed the sick and raised the dead
It was part of heaven's plan

He then took to the mountain
To breath life by what he spoke
Love your neighbor as yourself
And that would give you hope.

Many more things Christ did
To show us how to live
He then walked the hill to Calvary
For our sin his life to give.

You see freedom comes from sacrifice
Ever since sin bound our hearts
God's only Son died for us
Heaven's freedom to impart.

And so to find true freedom
Forgiveness we must receive
To yield ourselves to God's great love
And in his Son believe

Christ showed that to have real freedom
A servant you must be
Looking out for the best of others
Will keep you feeling free.

Micah 6:8 (KJV)
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
