I found myself
struggling in every path I took
It seemed my choices bogged me down
I felt lonely and forsook.
So I asked the Lord to change me
To do it through and through
And to teach me how to honor him
In all I say and do….
He answered me quite quickly
Said in the Bible I must start
If I would read it daily
That he would change my heart
I believed this simple answer
And began to read the book.
The more I searched it daily
The more I had to look
As I read the story of Christ’s Life
Every word and every deed
I soon began to realize
That he could meet my every need.
I read right through the gospels…
Matthew , Mark Luke, and John
And then I read of Paul’s Travels
How he grew to know the Son…
It seemed my choices bogged me down
I felt lonely and forsook.
So I asked the Lord to change me
To do it through and through
And to teach me how to honor him
In all I say and do….
He answered me quite quickly
Said in the Bible I must start
If I would read it daily
That he would change my heart
I believed this simple answer
And began to read the book.
The more I searched it daily
The more I had to look
As I read the story of Christ’s Life
Every word and every deed
I soon began to realize
That he could meet my every need.
I read right through the gospels…
Matthew , Mark Luke, and John
And then I read of Paul’s Travels
How he grew to know the Son…
Then I jumped back to the Psalms
The worship notes of David the King
The glimpses of God’s love for him
And how he made him sing.
There was the story of Daniel
How he prayed 3 times per day
His enemies conspired to kill him
But God kept the Lions at bay.
The worship notes of David the King
The glimpses of God’s love for him
And how he made him sing.
There was the story of Daniel
How he prayed 3 times per day
His enemies conspired to kill him
But God kept the Lions at bay.
So as I look back on the days gone by
Since the prayer I prayed for me
I see the message in the book
God sent to set me free…
Since the prayer I prayed for me
I see the message in the book
God sent to set me free…
